Robyn Brown Dispels Black Magic Rumors Amidst Turmoil in Kody Brown’s Polygamous Family on Sister Wives
Robyn Brown has clarified in the latest episode of TLC’s Sister Wives that she is not casting “evil spells” or practicing Black magic on her husband, Kody Brown. As reported by Us Weekly, Robyn made this statement following comments from Kody’s ex-wife, Janelle Brown, who discussed the decline of her marriage to Kody. During their conversation, Janelle expressed her feelings, saying, “I always felt like your life centered so much around Robyn’s house.”
Kody's polygamous family has faced significant challenges in recent years, with three of his four wives choosing to leave him. Christine Brown, his third wife, ended their relationship in November 2021, followed by Janelle in December 2022 and Meri Brown, his first wife, in January 2023. In the latest episode, Janelle conveyed her feelings of being “unimportant,” noting that Robyn’s home seemed to be Kody’s preferred place.

Robyn’s Response to Allegations of Favoritism
Robyn, who is Kody’s fourth wife and the only one still in the marriage, insisted that she does not receive any special treatment from him. “I feel like anytime Kody makes a choice and they don’t like it, I get blamed,” she explained during the episode, according to Us Weekly. “There’s this new idea that I have Kody just wrapped around my little finger and I’m doing evil spells on him, and that’s just ridiculous.” She further stated, “If you know Kody Brown, you know he’s not someone who can be controlled.”
After Kody dismissed the discussion about his favoritism towards Robyn, Janelle shared with the cameras, “This happens every time the kids talk to him about Robyn, or I talk to him. It’s like he just doesn’t want to go there. That’s his sacred cow. She’s perfect. Don’t dare talk about her!” Janelle also pointed out that a plural marriage cannot thrive if Kody shows favoritism and has “this person that you worship” above everyone else. “That’s part of being a husband in a plural marriage,” she remarked.
Kody’s Attempt at Reconciliation with Janelle
This season of Sister Wives has shown Kody coming to terms with Christine and Meri's decisions to move forward, but he still held out hope for a reconciliation with Janelle. Unfortunately, his recent remarks indicate that the possibility of mending their relationship is slim. Kody expressed, “The idea of Janelle and I reconciling is just a ridiculous fantasy for both of us.” He mentioned that it would involve a shift in power dynamics, where he would have to give her the upper hand in their relationship. “I think that’s fair since I held the power for so long, but I’m not keen on that.”
Janelle’s Final Word on Their Relationship
Janelle, on her part, shared her perspective, stating, “I don’t think we even exist in the same universe anymore.”
