Gwyneth Paltrow Sells LA Mansion for $22M Amidst Fire Concerns
Gwyneth Paltrow Sells LA Mansion for $22M Amidst Fire Concerns.
Los Angeles is currently grappling with the severe impact of wildfires that have ravaged numerous structures and homes. However, for some residents, life continues as normal, including Gwyneth Paltrow, who has recently finalized a significant real estate transaction.
Records indicate that the founder of Goop has sold her Los Angeles residence for an impressive $22 million. Although this amount represents a substantial profit, it falls short of Gwyneth's initial expectations for the 8,000 square foot property. She had originally listed it for $29.9 million when it entered the market last year. After reducing the asking price to $24.9 million, she ultimately accepted an offer nearly $3 million below that figure.
Despite the surrounding neighborhoods being affected by the fires, Gwyneth's residence remained unscathed, situated in the Mandeville Canyon area of Brentwood. The property boasts luxurious features, including six bedrooms, a spacious kitchen equipped with double cooktops, and a wood-burning oven. Additionally, there is a guesthouse with one bedroom on the premises. Other notable amenities include a wine cellar, a game room, and a movie theater.
Gwyneth has owned this property for over ten years, having purchased it in 2012 with her then-husband, Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay. The couple separated in 2015, and she has been married to producer Brad Falchuk since 2018.
With an estimated net worth of $200 million, Gwyneth has owned several opulent properties throughout her career. In 2016, she acquired an estate in Montecito, California, for $4.9 million, featuring high ceilings and a guesthouse, which she has since made available for rent on Airbnb.

Gwyneth acquired a residence in the Hamptons in 2006 alongside her former spouse, Chris Martin, for a sum of $5.4 million. This expansive property spans 7,000 square feet and features five bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. Following their divorce, Gwyneth retained ownership of the home, which also served as the venue for her second wedding to Brad Falchuk.
In contrast, Gwyneth did not retain her North London residence, which she purchased after marrying Chris in his home country. This 33-room mansion was sold subsequent to their separation. Additionally, the actress previously owned a penthouse in Tribeca, New York City, which she acquired in 2007 for just over $5 million and later sold for $10.7 million in 2017.
