Jhene Aiko's $5 Million Home Destroyed in L.A. Wildfires.
Jhene Aiko has become another addition to the increasing number of celebrities who have lost their residences due to the wildfires in Los Angeles. The artist recently posted a video showcasing the remnants of her multimillion-dollar home, which has been completely consumed by flames in Pacific Palisades. The footage revealed the charred remains of a vehicle still situated in the driveway.
In the recording, Jhene captured herself approaching the site, which is now predominantly a collection of debris. In her caption, she noted that the brick border of the home had withstood the blaze. Jhene acquired the mansion in 2023 for an estimated $5 million, following her decision to list her Encino property for sale the previous year.
The artist has been open on social media regarding the consequences of losing her residence; however, not all individuals have expressed compassion. Jhene faced criticism from certain commentators, who argued that the public should not empathize with her due to her financial status, as her estimated net worth stands at $7 million.
She eventually responded to the criticism in her Instagram comments, writing, "The fact some of you think I have Paris Hilton money is wild. I don't got it like that."
She also disclosed that this marks the second occasion on which she has lost a residence to a fire. "When I was in the 2nd grade, our home burned down with everything in it," Khene continued. "I never understood why some of the kids at school were so mean about it, because they thought we were rich when we weren't. But they thought we were rich because we had love!!"
“I am fortunate enough to be in a better position than back then. And I pray I can have as much grace as my mother did during that time," she added. "I work very hard for my family."
Jhene Aiko is the mother of a 16-year-old daughter named Namiko, whom she shares with her former partner O’Ryan. Additionally, she has a 2-year-old son with her current partner, R&B artist Big Sean.
The Grammy-nominated artist has amassed her wealth through a successful music career spanning over a decade. She launched her first EP, "Sail Out," in 2013, which included the hit single "The Worst," later achieving platinum certification. Her debut album, "Souled Out," was released in 2014, followed by additional albums in 2017 and 2020. Aiko has collaborated with notable artists such as Drake, Childish Gambino, and Future.
The loss of Jhene Aiko's $5 million home in the devastating L.A. wildfires marks another tragic chapter in her life. Having previously experienced the heartbreak of losing a home in her childhood, this recent tragedy adds another layer of grief.
