Andy Cohen Slashes Price of NYC Condo by $2 Million.
Andy Cohen appears to be quite determined to sell his New York duplex, having reduced the asking price by an impressive $2 million.
As reported by TMZ, the West Village residence has been listed for sale since September. Initially, the television personality sought $14 million for the property, but it seems there has been minimal interest from potential buyers.
Spanning over 3,500 square feet, the home includes three bedrooms and four full bathrooms, arranged over two levels, although it lacks outdoor space. The property has been tailored to Andy's preferences. He acquired the ground floor unit for $1.4 million in 2003 and subsequently purchased the unit above it. After extensive renovations, he successfully merged the two apartments into a single duplex.
It is likely that Andy is keen to sell his condo, having already invested $18 million in a nearby penthouse, which is just a four-minute walk away and reportedly offers the outdoor space he has been seeking.
“Outdoor space was the decision! I always have coveted outdoor space,” he told PEOPLE of his decision to sell.
“There is a dearth of inventory in the West Village with outdoor space,” he continued. “So, when I found something that was meaningful enough for me to leave my dream apartment, which is where I’m living now – my apartment that I built and spent so many years building – that’s what it took.”
Andy Cohen is reported to have a net worth of $50 million. Since 2009, he has served as both the host and executive producer of Bravo's late-night talk show, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Additionally, he holds the position of executive producer for The Real Housewives franchise and the reality cooking competition series, Top Chef. Until 2013, Andy was Bravo's Executive Vice President of Development and Talent, where he was responsible for the development of original programming and the discovery of new talent.
Cohen's other projects include a bi-weekly two-hour show co-hosted with John Hill on Sirius XM. He has also launched "Radio Andy," a channel on SiriusXM that he personally curates, focusing on pop culture and lifestyle topics. It is clear how these endeavors have enabled Andy to enhance his living situation in the heart of New York City.
