Carl Radke Loses $150K After Canceling Wedding to Lindsay Hubbard
Carl Radke Loses $150K After Canceling Wedding to Lindsay Hubbard.
Planning a wedding can really drain your wallet, but it turns out that backing out can hit you hard in the pocket too. Carl Radke from Summer House shared that he ended up losing a whopping $150,000 after he decided to cancel his wedding to co-star Lindsay Hubbard.
The couple was set to tie the knot in November 2023, but Carl pulled the plug a few months ahead of their planned destination wedding in Mexico. During a chat on The Viall Files podcast, Carl opened up about how tough the decision was and how it came with a hefty price tag. He mentioned that even though the fancy wedding never happened, he still took a major financial hit.
“The amount of money we invested in all of,” Carl said candidly. “I missed the cancellation for our wedding to get a full refund by seven days. I wasn’t thinking about canceling anything other than trying to get on the same page with [Lindsay]. Had I been about seven days sooner, I would have saved around $150,000.
Carl faced more than just the emotional fallout; he hinted that he missed out on several chances after the breakup to keep things under wraps. He could have scored a nice payday by revealing his side of the story, but it looks like he’s now making up for that by sharing all the juicy details.
[I] had planned podcast interviews,” Carl said, noting he had statements prepared to release, as well. “It felt, to me, as a male getting a public platform and trying to defend myself, it just didn’t feel right, even though I felt like I did what I think you do is right, which is, if it’s not right to move forward with the wedding, you don’t.”
Carl faced more than just emotional fallout; he also took a hit financially. He hinted that he let several chances slip away after the breakup to keep things private. He could have raked in a nice sum by sharing his version of events, but it looks like he’s now ready to dish out the details.
On the flip side, while Carl was holding back on cashing in, Lindsay has been all about those opportunities. Toward the end of last year, she stood up for herself after monetizing her pregnancy announcement from July, sharing that her deal with Clearblue earned her a cool $100,000. “People were very torn up about this,” she said. “ … They were like, ‘I can’t believe she monetized her pregnancy announcement.’ And it’s like, why not? I’m gonna make the announcement anyway. Why not make money from it?”

Lindsay just had her first baby, a girl named Gemma, with her boyfriend Turner Kufe. They had a brief romance before getting back together after Lindsay split from Carl.
It looks like both Carl and Lindsay have moved on from their pricey breakup. Now that Carl has a chance to share his perspective, he might be looking to cash in on some sponsorship deals.
