Jason Kelce Turns Down Down Coaching Career Because The Pay Is Too Low.

Jason Kelce is exploring new career avenues; however, he is unlikely to pursue a coaching position. The NFL veteran recently acknowledged that such a role would result in a significant financial setback when compared to the income generated from his New Heights podcast.

In a recent appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, he addressed the question of whether he would contemplate coaching following his retirement from the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2024. “That would be a significant pay decrease from podcasting,” he admitted. “So, I’m navigating that.”

He also mentioned that coaching would require a significant time investment. With the arrival of his fourth child imminent, it appears that Jason is eager to enjoy more time at home following his retirement.

“There’s also just the time commitment of those guys,” he continued. “I got three young kids, a fourth on the way. I don’t know that I’m ready for that yet.”

The exact earnings of Jason for co-hosting New Heights with his brother, NFL star Travis Kelce, remain uncertain. In August 2024, reports indicated that the brothers had entered into a nine-figure agreement with Amazon’s podcast studio, Wondery, implying that the Kelce family does not intend to discontinue their show in the near future.

Jason's net worth is estimated at $50 million, allowing him the financial flexibility to take a break if desired; however, he seems to be maintaining his current pace. Last fall, he secured a two-year endorsement deal worth $2.4 million with Marriott Hotels, becoming their inaugural "Fanbassador." Additionally, in 2024, he joined ESPN as an analyst for "Monday Night Football," signing a three-year contract valued at $1.8 million per season, along with a $1 million signing bonus.

There is potential for him to pursue a career in television, as reports indicate that producers are keen on creating a reality show centered around the Kelces, who gained significant notoriety due to Travis' prominent relationship with Taylor Swift.

"Producers are sniffing around the entire Kelce family, especially Jason and his wife Kylie," a source told Radar Online. "The idea is to make them a more relatable version of the Kardashians."

"The level of interest in the Kelces since Travis started dating Taylor has not gone unnoticed in Hollywood, but it's also very clear that they're super thirsty for attention,” they continued.

Reality television stalwarts such as the Kardashians earn substantial sums each season, indicating that a similar program could significantly enhance the Kelce family's financial standing. This further elucidates why pursuing a coaching career may not appear to be a financially advantageous choice for Jason at this time.
