He sold his One Madison triplex for $23.8 million, a stark contrast to the $43 million purchase price he paid in 2014, and even lower than the initial asking price of $62 million set two years ago.
Murdoch faced challenges in attracting potential buyers for the penthouse, necessitating multiple price reductions, including a drop to $38.5 million, before finally securing a deal with the current undisclosed buyer. Last summer, the property was listed at its lowest price of $28 million, and the buyer ultimately received a considerable discount from that figure.

Despite the difficulties Murdoch encountered in selling the property, it remains an impressive real estate asset, occupying the 58th, 59th, and 60th floors of the One Madison skyscraper.
