Gene Simmons' Former Mansion Slashed to $33M.
Gene Simmons' old house is back on the market, and the price has dropped quite a bit. The Beverly Hills property is now listed at $33 million, down from the original $48 million asking price in 2023.

Simmons hasn't lived there for years. He bought the place in 1984 for $1.35 million and made a nice profit in 2021 when he sold it to developer Max Nobel for $16 million. After that, the estate went through some major renovations, which is why it was listed for more than double the price.
Nobel added over 3,000 square feet of living space, bringing the total to 16,390 square feet, and gave it a modern barnhouse vibe. He also built a detached garage with lifts that can hold up to 20 cars.

The house has seven bathrooms, including two primary suites, and features an open floor plan with sloped wooden ceilings. Outside, there's a gorgeous 60-foot pool and a dining area that can accommodate up to 30 guests.

Gene's net worth is around $400 million, thanks in large part to his earnings from KISS. He co-founded the legendary band in the 1970s, which has sold over 100 million records globally. He also played a key role in KISS's merchandising strategy, licensing the band's name and image for more than 5,000 products, generating over $1 billion in revenue since the band's inception.

Beyond music, Gene and his family became well-known from their reality show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, which ran for seven seasons from 2006 to 2012, providing them with a nice extra income.
Over the years, Gene has dabbled in a bunch of business ventures, including the Rock & Brew restaurant chain. In April 2024, he sold the rights to KISS’s catalog, name, image, and likeness for a whopping $300 million, which was snagged by the Swedish music investment firm Pophouse.

While Gene's former mansion worth millions might be on the market, he's still living it up nearby. He picked up a different property in Beverly Hills back in 2020 for $10.5 million. Plus, he owns places in Malibu, Nevada, and a sprawling 24-acre estate close to Whistler, British Columbia, where he built a home that cost around $4 million.
