This contract is the second-largest in NFL history, just behind Patrick Mahomes's $450 million deal with the Chiefs. Allen's average annual salary of $55 million is only surpassed by Dak Prescott, who earns about $60 million a year.

Since entering the league in 2018, Allen has already become the franchise's all-time leader in touchdown passes with 195. He’s also rushed for 45 touchdowns and has over 30,000 combined passing and rushing yards. Last year, the Bills finished with a 13-4 record, marking the third time in five seasons they've reached that win total.

While Allen is undoubtedly thrilled about his record-setting extension, his sights are set on an even bigger goal. Under his leadership, the Bills have claimed five consecutive AFC East titles and made it to two AFC Championship Games, but the Super Bowl has so far remained out of reach.
