Rent Michael Jordan's Chicago Mansion for $1 Million a Week!
Champions Point, the exquisite residence constructed in the Highland Park area of Chicago by Michael Jordan, had been on the market for several years before finding a buyer. Late last year, real estate investor John Cooper acquired the property at a notable discount, purchasing it for $9.5 million. Recently, Robb Report reported that Cooper is pursuing an unconventional strategy to monetize his investment through what he refers to as a "unique co-ownership model," which can essentially be characterized as a variation of a timeshare.
In a press statement regarding the project, Cooper expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to co-own such a distinctive piece of real estate.
"We envision Champions Point as more than just a luxury property—it's an opportunity to own a piece of history and bring sports enthusiasts together through a unique co-ownership model. Our goal is to create a shared experience where co-owners can enjoy unparalleled amenities and also the sense of connection and community that comes with it. By preserving the property's original design while integrating modern technology, we're ensuring that Champions Point continues to be a place where extraordinary memories are made for years to come."
Champions Point stands out as an exceptional timeshare, boasting 32,000 square feet of opulent interior space, nine bedrooms, and 19 bathrooms, even without its association with Michael Jordan. However, the distinctive features introduced by the renowned sports enthusiast include a regulation-size basketball court, a tennis court, a putting green, and a gym. Notably, the property is marked by its front gate, which prominently displays Jordan's iconic #23.

Additional amenities encompass a home theater, a swimming pool, a wine cellar, and a dedicated cigar room furnished with leather-bound poker tables.
Co-owners of the property will incur a fee of $1 million per week for access, with the option to host special events such as weddings or corporate retreats for an extra charge. The shares will also be available for resale, presenting a potential investment opportunity, while the substantial costs associated with maintaining the property will be shared among the co-owners.
